The 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo Organizing Committee promoted the upcoming expo at the Gyeonggi International Boat Show, held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, over three days through the 8th. Now in its 19th year, the show is South Korea’s largest yacht and boat exhibition, co-hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Gyeonggi Province. The organizing committee used the event as a platform to highlight the expo’s attractions.

The committee deployed a 'Da-seom-i' truck booth on-site, where it screened promotional videos and outlined the expo’s purpose and program highlights.

Interactive activities featuring the expo mascot, 'Da-seom-i,' drew visitors. Organizers offered photo opportunities and a ball-pit “fishing” game, and they distributed mascot-branded merchandise as prizes, including eco-friendly pouches, masking tape and notepads.

Committee Secretary-General Kim Jong-gi said, “We plan to attend a variety of major domestic events to promote the islands expo. We will continue diverse marketing efforts to attract visitors.”

The 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo, themed \"Islands: Linking the Sea and the Future,\" will run for 61 days from Sept. 5 to Nov. 4, 2026. Events and exhibitions will be held across Dolsan Jinmo district, Gaedo, Geumodo and the Yeosu World Expo Park.

Organizers say the expo will present a vision for a harmonious future between islands and the sea and will offer new experiences for both domestic and international visitors. They also expect the event to stimulate the local economy, advance the tourism sector and draw renewed attention to the importance of island and marine environments.
