[CBC News] U.S. President Donald Trump said he ordered forces to fire on any ship laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
President Trump signaled a hardline response to any mining activity in the area. He instructed U.S. forces to open fire if they encounter a vessel placing naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
“I have ordered them to shoot at any ship placing mines in the Strait of Hormuz,” he said.
