Park Chan-dae, a former Democratic Party floor leader who is running for Incheon mayor, said in a video message that Jeong Chun-sook is a close ally who will be at the forefront of efforts to secure the success of the Lee Jae-myung administration. He urged supporters to back her, calling her the right person to decisively resolve Yongin’s local issues. Jeong served as chair of the Health and Welfare Committee and of the Gender and Family Committee during the 20th and 21st National Assembly sessions as a member of the Democratic Party.

Jeong said, “I will transform Yongin through pragmatic, results-driven governance rather than performative gestures. Drawing on my experience shaping national policy and budgets at the central level, I will pursue transportation innovation, a comprehensive social welfare system, and the development of a semiconductor-focused city.”

The current mayor of Yongin is Lee Sang-il of the People Power Party.
