On the 10th, the People Power Party adopted a unanimous resolution at a party meeting declaring jeol-yun (severing ties with former President Yoon Suk Yeol), but critics have questioned its sincerity. Allies close to party leader Jang Dong-hyeok argued that not only former President Yoon but also former party leader Han Dong-hoon should leave politics. They said Yoon and Han come as a package, describing jeol-yun and jeol-han as linked measures.

Cho Gwang-han, a nominated Supreme Council member appointed by Jang, told MBC radio on the 12th that calls from figures such as Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon for the party leadership to implement follow-up measures on the jeol-yun declaration are peripheral and not fundamentally important. He said the people who have weakened the party belong to a pro-Han (supporters of Han Dong-hoon) faction.

Cho added, \"They keep talking about jeol-yun, but I believe jeol-han must happen as well for jeol-yun to be genuine,\" reiterating that former President Yoon and former leader Han are effectively a single set.

He explained, \"The party recruited Yoon as a candidate because it needed him, and he served as president under this party. In that sense, he has effectively left the party. No one among those running the party now still harbors political hopes for him. By contrast, Han joined the party and, through conflicts and confrontations with the president, helped shape the party's current condition, so he cannot easily escape responsibility.\"

Jang Ye-chan, deputy director of the Yeouido Research Institute and another of Jang's appointees, told CBS radio the same day that he fundamentally sees jeol-yun and jeol-han as a package. \"If you carry out jeol-yun, you should carry out jeol-han as well,\" he said.

Jang went on to lambaste Han as an accessory of the Yoon Suk Yeol era, saying Han received the greatest benefits and sparked the most damaging conflicts, which contributed to the election defeat, the emergency situation, and calls for impeachment. He added that Han has effectively been severed from the party through expulsion and should completely leave politics alongside former President Yoon.

Jang criticized Han further: \"Yoon elevated him to absurd heights — appointing him justice minister and emergency committee chair — positions he did not win on his own. The subsequent Yoon–Han conflict was the main cause of the election defeat and the tragic state of emergency. He enjoyed the greatest glory and therefore bears the greatest responsibility.\"

Jang argued that jeol-yun is ultimately about letting the past stay in the past. \"If that is the goal, then jeol-han must also be part of that past. Only then can we move away from a prosecutor-dominated government, freely engage with people capable of leading a new era and generational change, and transform the People Power Party,\" he said.

On another point, Jang drew attention by saying that far-right YouTuber Jeon Han-gil's decision to submit — and then withdraw — his resignation from the party would, at this stage, be more helpful if he did leave.
