Jeong Won-o, the former Seongdong district mayor who announced his bid for Seoul mayor in the June 3 local elections, formally launched his primary campaign on the 10th under the slogan \"Lee Jae-myung government's Seoul mayor — One by one, Jeong Won-o.\"

Lee Jeong-heon, a Democratic Party lawmaker serving as the campaign's chief spokesman, held a press conference at the National Assembly media center and said the campaign has completed its organization and is entering full-scale campaign activities.

The campaign has attracted five incumbent Seoul-area lawmakers, including Lee Jeong-heon (Gwangjin A). Two-term lawmaker Lee Hae-sik (Gangdong B), a former Gangdong district mayor, will serve as campaign committee chairman; he stepped down as chair of the party's Strategic Planning Committee to take the role.

Former Yeongdeungpo district mayor and current lawmaker Chae Hyun-il (Yeongdeungpo A) will oversee day-to-day operations as head of the campaign's general headquarters. Two-term lawmaker Oh Ki-hyung (Dobong B), who chairs the Democratic Party's KOSPI5000 Special Committee, will lead the policy office.

Lee Jeong-heon will serve as chief spokesman and head of media communications. Park Min-gyu (Gwanak A) will lead strategy and organization. Former Blue House spokesperson Park Kyung-mi resigned her party spokesman post to join Jeong's team as a campaign spokesperson, and former lawmaker Shin Hyun-young will chair the policy advisory group.

Former Unification Minister Lee Jae-jung will serve as the campaign's fundraising chair. Former SBS editorial writer Im Kwang-gi and former Seoul Shinmun editorial chief Moon So-young will serve as head and deputy head, respectively, of the communications special advisory team.

Lee Jeong-heon described the campaign lineup as an all-star team of effective managers, saying it demonstrates that Jeong is the Democratic Party's prepared, electable candidate.

Explaining the slogan \"Lee Jae-myung government's Seoul mayor — One by one, Jeong Won-o,\" Lee said close coordination with the Lee Jae-myung administration is essential to jump-start a stagnant Seoul, noting the administration is producing national-level results. He added that the slogan signals a citizen-centered Seoul aligned with the president's people's-sovereignty government.

Lee also said the slogan commits that Jeong, known as an effective executor, will tackle Seoul's accumulated problems quickly and accurately.

Jeong will meet reporters near Seoul City Hall on the morning of the 11th to outline his plans for the city. He will visit the National Assembly that afternoon at 2 p.m. to meet with parliamentary reporters.
