Han Gi-nam, the Democratic Party's prospective candidate for mayor of Michuhol District, held a press conference to formally declare his candidacy.
At a briefing in the Michuhol District Office on the morning of the 10th, Han said he aims to create safe housing, a sustainable local economy, and a trustworthy administration to make Michuhol a place where people want to live.
He pledged to confront a major local problem—rental deposit fraud—by establishing a One-Stop Rental Deposit Fraud Counseling Center to provide proactive assistance.
Han said he would shift the focus away from purely physical development toward a \"life-centered\" administration that produces changes residents can feel in their daily lives. He reiterated his commitment to making Michuhol a district where people want to live through safe housing, a sustainable local economy, and trusted governance.
He currently serves as president of the Incheon Association for the Welfare of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and chairs the steering committee for the Kim Dae-jung Foundation's Michuhol District chapter in Incheon. He previously ran as a city council candidate in Michuhol District's 3rd constituency in the 8th local elections.
