Yoon Jun-ho, chairman of WinGuard, the maker of smart security windows, has made his debut as an author.

He held a book launch for his new title, Daily Check-Ins That Change Your Life, in Daejeon on March 12.

The event drew a strong turnout of local business leaders and cultural figures. Announcers Kim Hyun-wook and Jung Young-mi hosted, and singer Jang Ha-on opened the program with a live performance and a short video.

Kang Wook, a professor at the Korean National Police University, read a review and unpacked the book’s themes and messaging. Yoon then discussed his writing process and shared personal reflections, engaging readers in a lively Q&A.

In the second half of the program, singer Bae Da-hae performed. Yoon wrapped the evening with a book-signing session.

Daily Check-Ins That Change Your Life has attracted attention as a self-help bestseller. The book collects Yoon’s reflections on life drawn from years of meeting people in the field. Reviewers say it prompts readers to reassess their own lives and those of others through the simple, everyday question: “How are you?”

Yoon said, “Asking how someone is every day is a question directed at others, but ultimately it also asks yourself, ‘Am I okay today?’ I hope this event gave people a chance to share how they’re doing and to take a moment to reflect on their lives.”

WinGuard’s smart security window pairs high-strength stainless steel—engineered to withstand roughly one metric ton of impact—with Internet of Things sensors. The product uses both automatic and manual locks to deter break-ins and help prevent falls.

Yoon also serves as chairman of the Korea Smart Innovation Entrepreneurs Association.
