On the April 12 broadcast of MBC's 'Number Ones', contestants faced off for the final remaining ticket to the 'final showdown'.
That night, Son Seung-yeon selected Kim Hyun-sik's \"My Love, By My Side,\" a song also widely known as an insert track from the hit drama 'Reply 1988.'
Son delivered a technically flawless performance with her signature husky, emotionally resonant voice. Her explosive vocal power captivated everyone in the room.
After the song, she explained that she chose the piece because she believed this might be her last stage on the show. \"I wanted to sing a song I love and leave with no regrets,\" she said.
The panelists lauded her growth, saying they were proud to watch Seung-yeon evolve through 'Number Ones.' \"That was stunning,\" they said. \"Truly outstanding.\"
