
[SPOTV News = Reporter Jeong Hyewon] Festival organizers issued a statement after authorities arrested Kim Bada, the vocalist of the band Sinawe, on marijuana possession and inhalation charges.
On the 10th, the organizers of the 2026 Seoul Hero Rock Festival X Treehundred said on their official social channels that Kim Bada, who had been scheduled to perform on April 26, would no longer appear on the Hero Rock Festival lineup due to the artist’s personal circumstances.
The organizers said they had been in regular contact with his agency after reports about Kim surfaced. The agency requested time to verify the facts and informed the festival that his participation would be difficult, and the organizers asked for understanding about the delay in issuing the announcement.
Kim Bada had been slated to perform at the Hero Rock Festival on April 25 and 26 at the Oil Tank Culture Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul, but his appearance was canceled after police arrested him on marijuana possession and inhalation allegations.
Police say he was suspected of possessing and smoking marijuana. After obtaining an arrest warrant and tracking him for about two months, officers apprehended Kim Bada around 8:30 p.m. on the 8th in a location in Sokcho.
Authorities reportedly found marijuana at the scene, and Kim is said to have admitted the charges during questioning.
Police are investigating how he obtained the marijuana and whether there were additional instances of use. They will weigh the risk of flight and the circumstances of the alleged offense as they decide whether to seek a detention warrant.
