KickFlip will officially release their new mini-album My First Kick on April 6 at 6:00 p.m. Ahead of the release, at midnight on March 10 the group posted a schedule video and images detailing the promotion plan on their official social media channels, drawing fans' attention.
The schedule promises a staged rollout of material — a trailer, tracklist, concept photos and blog posts, and a music video teaser will arrive in sequence. On release day the group will appear on Mnet M2 for a comeback show and will hold a fan showcase.
Prior to the fourth mini-album's release, KickFlip pre-released the single "Twenty" and its music video at 6:00 p.m. on March 9. The group held a music-video screening at a theater at 5:00 p.m. and celebrated the announcement with their fandom, WeFlip. The event featured a song introduction and photo talk about the music video, a Q&A with the audience, a lucky draw, and a segment where members reflected on turning twenty, after which they watched the music video together.
The members said they never imagined they would hold a theater screening and were thrilled to share the experience with WeFlip. They called it an honor to watch the music video with fans and expressed hope that everyone will support the new mini-album.
"Twenty" marks another songwriting contribution from the group's youngest member, Donghyun, following his work on the third mini-album My First Flip track "It's a Secret I Had a Nightmare About" and the group's first terrestrial music-show chart-topper "The First Song I Sing." The single highlights KickFlip's signature bright, refreshing sound. Built on a driving, rock-tinged backing, the track captures the bittersweet complexity of closing out adolescence and the thrill of entering one's twenties, signaling the start of what feels like a "growth series."
KickFlip's fourth mini-album My First Kick, which opens the prologue to youthful spring, will be available on streaming platforms at 6:00 p.m. on April 6.
