Veteran singer Jang Hye-jin and Jo Jjae-jeu have unveiled a new collaborative single.
On March 29 at 6 p.m., Jang Hye-jin released the duet A Masterstroke with Jo Jjae-jeu on major online music platforms.
A Masterstroke frames the tangled emotions both men and women experience after a breakup through the metaphor of a “masterstroke.” The contrast between Jang’s rich, seasoned voice and Jo’s distinctive tone creates a refined breakup ballad that feels both intimate and cinematic.
Lines such as “It was a masterstroke when we broke up,” “It was a masterstroke when I let you go,” and “Our painful goodbye—because we loved too much—was all a masterstroke” deliver a lasting emotional afterglow for listeners.
Following the single’s release, the pair will stage a duet concert of the same name, A Masterstroke, on April 18 and 19 at Samsung Hall on the Ewha Womans University campus in Seoul. The show promises powerful vocals and thoughtful staging as the artists connect with fans.
