Singer Hyeyoon kicked off the year by releasing her first EP, seriously unserious, at midnight on the 15th. Universal Music Korea described the record as a project that distills the musical identity Hyeyoon has been shaping since her 2024 solo debut.
The EP is built around a free-spirited credo: trust your instincts instead of overthinking and enjoy the party. It contains four tracks, from the hyperpop-tinged \"AIAIAI\" to the hard‑techno punch of \"Money,\" with exotic soundscapes and house rhythms running throughout.
The title track, \"Swipe,\" raises the energy with a guest turn from iconic Brazilian artist Lu Garcia. Over an infectious house groove, the two capture the kinetic spirit of Brazil’s club scene. The music video released alongside the single heightens the experience with arresting visuals.
Hyeyoon built a devoted fanbase during her time with Now United. Since going solo, she’s worked with international artists such as Armani White and Chris Patrick, earning attention from major outlets including Billboard and NME. She signaled the formal restart of her activities by hosting a countdown livestream, connecting with global fans in real time just before the release.
