[By Lim Si-ryeong, Sports Today] Singer-songwriter Ha Hyun-sang is building momentum for his second full-length album, New Boat, after releasing a documentary teaser and a concept film that tease the record’s mood.

Ha Hyun-sang recently posted the documentary teaser and concept film for New Boat (뉴 보트), which is due April 6, through his official social media.

The short documentary traces how his approach to music has evolved over time. It intersperses shots of him playing guitar in the studio, tossing a casual game of catch and smiling as he focuses on his work, offering a portrait of the artist in everyday moments rather than onstage.

In an interview included in the video, Ha reflects, \"Last year I fell into a rut and felt like I hit rock bottom before finding my way back up. But the process of making this album was genuinely fun. Day by day my thoughts have grown clearer, and now I feel that even if things aren’t perfect like before, my presence doesn’t fade. It reaffirmed for me that I truly love music.\"

The film captures his private routines and creative uncertainties alongside his public persona, leaving behind a record of the artist’s personal journey.

If the earlier concept photos suggested a more mature look across varied themes, the newly released concept film seduces with a refined, sensory mood. A subtle melody threads through the footage, lending a gentle seasonal warmth and naturally building anticipation for the new release.

New Boat is Ha Hyun-sang’s second full-length album, arriving roughly three years after his previous record. The project centers on new beginnings and journeys. Anchored in a band sound, it weaves rock, gospel and pop balladry together, signaling a broader musical palette.

Ahead of the April 6 release, Ha Hyun-sang will stage an archive live, 2026 HA HYUN SANG Archive Live , at Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park from April 3–5. He is also slated to perform at major festivals, including the 2026 Lovesome Festival and Beautiful Mint Life 2026, continuing to connect with audiences.
