JYP Entertainment unveiled a sound-film poster on the 9th via DAY6’s official social media channels announcing Wonpil’s new solo project. According to the teaser, Wonpil will release his first mini-album, Unpiltered, at 6 p.m. on the 30th.
The teaser frames Wonpil in a dreamlike mood. When he wiped condensation from the glass, droplets slid down, underscoring the clip’s emotional thread. A line heard in the teaser—“I’m only breathing empty breaths; I’m not alright, oh God, save me”—heightened curiosity about the new track.
Wonpil debuted with DAY6 in September 2015 and has consistently contributed to the band's songwriting, establishing himself as a singer-songwriter with notable vocal and instrumental chops. He’s built a reputation for delicate sensibility and honest expression that resonates with listeners.
This record marks his first solo release since the February 2022 album Pilmography, and fans are eager to hear what musical colors and messages he will bring with Unpiltered.
