CORTIS Unveils ‘REDRED’: A Unique Blend of Sound and Meaning Ahead of Mini Album Release

[TV Daily reporter An Seong-hoo] The group CORTIS held a media showcase on the afternoon of the 20th at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul’s Gwangjin District to unveil 'REDRED,' the pre-release single from their second mini-album 'GREENGREEN.'

At the event, CORTIS — Martin, Juhun, Geonho, Seonghyun and James — performed the title track 'REDRED.'

'REDRED' juxtaposes the group's aspirational 'green' values with the elements they want to exclude, which they liken to 'red.' Rooted in the members' own ideas, the song features distinctive, character-driven lyrics. Its raw electronic textures, repetitive beats and infectious melody combine to create a unique charm. The vivid production also gives it a texture that resists easy genre classification.

Meanwhile, 'REDRED' is the title track of the mini-album 'GREENGREEN,' scheduled for release on May 4.
