BTS member Jungkook confronted a recent livestream controversy head-on, offering a heartfelt message to fans.

On the 11th, BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) performed BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' at the main stadium of Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The group opened the world tour on the 10th and will play three shows in Goyang through the 12th.

Near the end of the concert, Jungkook addressed the livestream issue directly. He bowed to the crowd and said, "We finished the second show today. I'm relieved no one was hurt and we were able to finish the performance safely. The weather and your cheers were perfect, so I feel great."

He went on, "I've done several livestreams recently and that caused controversy, but I want you to know that my feelings for you are sincere, no matter the circumstances. I'll keep giving my all on stage. If you just wait for me, I'll repay you with many different, great performances. Thank you and I love you."

In February, Jungkook drew criticism after a late-night livestream in which he used profanity and made questionable remarks. On the 8th, he said he wasn't sure if he had done something wrong but apologized if ARMY (the fandom) felt uncomfortable. He added that he had treated fans sincerely and wanted to apologize once to express his remorse.

The world tour will span 85 shows across 34 cities, starting in Goyang and including stops in Tokyo, North America, Europe, South America, and Asia — the largest number of dates for a single tour by a Korean artist. Additional shows in Japan and the Middle East are planned, potentially expanding the itinerary. Including the three Goyang dates, shows at Tokyo Dome, and legs in North America and Europe, 46 performances have already sold out. In parts of North and South America, BTS will be the first Korean act to play standalone stadium concerts.

After three nights in Goyang, BTS will continue the run at Tokyo Dome on the 17th and 18th.
