BTS graces the special May cover of Rolling Stone.

On the 14th, Rolling Stone unveiled the group's cover and released an interview video. The project — the largest in the magazine’s history — will appear simultaneously across 16 countries and regions, including the U.S., U.K., France and Germany. The issue will feature one group cover and seven individual member covers, a first for any K-pop act.

In the photo spread, BTS projects a mature, intense charisma. Black-and-white imagery and denim styling create a loose, rebellious mood. The members’ deeper gazes and relaxed poses underscore the presence they’ve built over more than a decade as global artists.

In the interview, the group opens up about the intense reflection and growth that led to their return as a full unit after a hiatus. RM said the 14 tracks on their new record, ARIRANG, will answer the question, “What is BTS in 2026?” He added, “If we stop challenging ourselves, there’s no reason for the group to continue,” underscoring their commitment to ongoing musical experimentation.

The members emphasized how much they value being together again and the strong bonds between them. Jin said, “I’ve always felt I wouldn’t have a reason to continue if I weren’t part of this group,” expressing steady confidence in the team. J‑Hope said he rediscovered why they have to be seven as the members help fill one another’s gaps. Suga, sounding more relaxed, said he wants to enjoy their work and care for one another’s health instead of getting caught up only in results.

Jimin vowed, “I’ll raise my abilities to prove my value among these excellent members and to lift the team’s standing.” V highlighted inner growth, saying, “During my military service I rebuilt my body and mind and planned the next step as an artist.” Jungkook confessed he desperately wanted to perform and dance on stage during the hiatus, and he channeled that longing into this album.

Rolling Stone’s group and individual covers, along with the interviews, will be revealed daily at 7 p.m. from today (the 14th) through the 20th.
