[Digital Today AI Reporter] A camouflaged Genesis GV90 was photographed charging at a Tesla Supercharger. The GV90 is Genesis’ flagship electric SUV and is expected to make its global debut later this year.

On March 9 (local time), the EV outlet Electric said anticipation for the GV90 has steadily grown since Genesis revealed the Neorun concept in 2024. The concept drew attention for premium touches such as Rolls‑Royce–style coach doors, adaptive air suspension and a large central display.

Photographs recently surfaced showing a GV90 test vehicle charging at a Tesla Supercharger in Mesquite, Nevada. Images shared by Reddit user LegoDEI show the charger plugged into an inlet on the vehicle’s left rear quarter.

Genesis previously said it will adopt NACS (North American Charging Standard) ports as standard equipment in North America beginning with the 2026 model year. The GV90 had been slated as a 2026 model, but production delays could push its launch into the 2027 model year.

Some test mules photographed in South Korea have featured coach doors, but that design appears likely to be reserved for higher trims. The Supercharger mule looks to be a base-spec example fitted with conventional, front-hinged doors.

The charging-port placement is notable. Hyundai’s Ioniq 9 locates its inlet on the right rear—an arrangement that can complicate positioning at Tesla stalls—whereas the GV90’s left-side inlet should make accessing Superchargers easier.

Local reports put the GV90’s top trim near $207,000, with a base model starting around $100,000. Genesis says the GV90 is built on Hyundai Motor’s next-generation eM electric architecture and expects as much as a 50% range improvement over the current E‑GMP platform.
