A passenger car fell roughly 5 meters (about 16.4 ft) over a retaining wall in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, injuring a woman in her 50s.
Gimpo Fire Headquarters said on March 28 that at about 9:20 p.m. the previous evening, emergency call center 119 received a report that a car had overturned in the driveway of a single-family home in the Onisan-ri area of Daegot-myeon, Gimpo.
Authorities say the vehicle, driven by a woman in her 50s identified only as A, rolled off the retaining wall beside the house and fell roughly 5 meters.
The car overturned, and the driver suffered facial and shoulder injuries. Emergency crews transported her to a local hospital for treatment.
One small car that had been parked where her vehicle landed was also damaged.
Police said investigators suspect she accidentally pressed the accelerator while parking; the exact cause remains under investigation.
