Hyundai has opened an electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging station inside Germany’s Nürburgring circuit.
Hyundai said on the 16th that on the 14th (local time) its high-performance division, Hyundai N, opened the “N Fast-Charging Station” at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Known as the “Green Hell,” the Nürburgring is one of the world’s most demanding circuits and a pilgrimage site for car enthusiasts. Hyundai installed the N fast charger in the parking area at the Tourist Drive entrance, where public drivers enter the track for laps.
To fully enjoy high-performance EVs on the track, reliable, high-speed charging infrastructure is essential. The new N fast-charging station significantly improves convenience, allowing EV drivers at the Nürburgring to charge at the circuit entrance and head straight onto the track.
Hyundai will pilot the N fast charger for visitors starting this month to coincide with the Nürburgring track season opener; the station is capable of charging any EV regardless of brand. After stabilizing and enhancing the service, Hyundai plans to offer limited free charging next month to European Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N owners who use the Charge MyHyundai app. The N fast-charging station will operate for 10 years, from this year through 2035.

Specifically, the Nürburgring N fast-charging station comprises two DC fast chargers. Each unit can serve up to two vehicles at once, enabling four EVs to charge simultaneously. The chargers support up to 400 kW of power, and the E-GMP–based high-performance Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N—using an 800V ultra-fast charging architecture—can charge from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes. (Actual charging times may vary depending on conditions.)
Under Hyundai N’s mission of “high performance for everyone,” the company is actively expanding high-performance EV infrastructure so more drivers can experience the excitement these cars deliver.
Domestically, Hyundai opened its first N fast-charging station at Inje Speedium in 2023 alongside the Ioniq 5 N launch, offering free charging to Ioniq 5 N owners. Hyundai plans to extend free charging to Ioniq 6 N customers in the first half of 2026. Now, the company has added a second N fast charger at the Nürburgring, the birthplace of Hyundai N and a global destination for automotive enthusiasts.
Park Jun-woo, head of Hyundai’s N Management Office and executive director, said, “After proving the potential of high-performance EVs with the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N, we built the N fast-charging station to create an ecosystem where drivers can fully enjoy high-performance experiences on the track. We hope Nürburgring fans will tackle the ‘Green Hell’ without charging concerns, and Hyundai will continue expanding the high-performance EV ecosystem so more customers can enjoy driving in the electric era.”
