BYD announced on March 27 that British actor Daniel Craig will join its new campaign as the automaker prepares to expand its premium technology brand DENZA globally.

DENZA, BYD’s premium brand focused on all-electric vehicles for sustainable mobility, aims to attract new customers by pairing advanced technology with European-inspired design. Craig will serve as a key partner, appearing in marketing materials and TV spots for several headline models set to launch this year.

The collaboration underscores DENZA’s push to raise its international profile through a partnership with a widely recognized actor. The brand plans to unveil its flagship Z9GT shooting brake at the Palais Garnier opera house in Paris on April 8.

Stella Li, BYD’s vice chair, said, "Daniel Craig brings strength, sophistication and authenticity — qualities that closely align with DENZA’s brand values." She added, "As we expand the brand across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, his presence and image will help convey DENZA’s direction."

She also said the company intends to present a new premium mobility vision that blends technology, design and emotional appeal.
