With a deadline set by President Donald Trump approaching, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is stepping up military pressure on Iran.

In a video message on April 7 local time, Netanyahu said, \"We are increasing pressure on Iran’s terrorist regime,\" and outlined recent operational gains.

He said Israeli forces destroyed an Iranian transport plane and dozens of helicopters the previous day, and struck rail lines and bridges used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the same day.

Netanyahu said those facilities were being used to move weapons components, military equipment and personnel headed for Israel, the United States and other regional states — a rationale he cited to justify the strikes.

He added the strikes target the regime that has oppressed its people for 47 years, not the Iranian people, and are intended to weaken and dismantle that government.
