Park Joong-hoon opened up about the difficulties he faced while preparing a film.
On the 12th, SBS aired My Ugly Duckling and featured veteran Korean actor Park Joong-hoon.
Park first became a household name thanks to a beer commercial, and he recalled that the quirky dance in the spot was just him goofing around. He has since moved behind the camera and now works as a film director.
While preparing his second feature, Park sought advice from director Bong Joon-ho. Bong told him that directing had been so grueling at times he’d considered quitting to open a sandwich shop — a comment that made Park resolve not to give up when the work gets hard.
The episode also introduced Park’s strikingly handsome children, who have chosen different careers than their father. Park said he gives them autonomy, letting them make their own choices so they can learn from experience.
