Actor Jung Eun-chae returned after two years with a commanding turn in Honor: Their Court, leaving a strong impression. In March 2024, Jung also confirmed that she is dating webtoon artist and broadcaster Kim Chung-jae.

Jung played Kang Shin-jae in ENA’s Monday–Tuesday drama Honor: Their Court (hereafter Honor), which wrapped on the 10th. She delivered solid acting and precise character work. Honor follows three female lawyers as they pursue the sexual exploitation app ConnectIn, charting a focused journey of struggle and recovery.

Jung’s Kang Shin-jae is the head of L&J, a firm dedicated to representing female victims, and the heir to a family of legal professionals. Torn between ideals of justice and the practical demands of reality, Kang constantly faces difficult decisions. To fully inhabit the role, Jung delved into the events that shaped Kang’s choices and the emotions and resolve underpinning them.

That work paid off: Kang Shin-jae emerges as more than a case-by-case protagonist—she becomes a driving force in the narrative. Through a restrained performance, Jung conveyed the character’s firm convictions and unshakable poise, layering steady gazes, a decisive vocal tone, and finely tuned emotional shifts to give the role real weight.

Jung also shared luminous chemistry with Lee Na-young and Lee Chung-ah, convincingly rendering the friendship and solidarity among the three lawyers. Their interplay strengthened the series’ emotional core and sharpened its storytelling.

Jung Eun-chae is set to return later this year in SBS’s new Friday–Saturday drama Chaebol X Detective 2.
