On the 2nd, KBS2TV aired Red Pearl, and the episode featured a report about the theft of Baek Jin-joo’s (Nam Sang-ji) design book.
Baek Jin-joo visited Park Tae-ho (Choi Jae-sung), claiming she had tipped off the outlet about the theft and quipping, “Maybe next time I’ll do the interview myself.”
Park Tae-ho responded, “This matter is already settled. I know how you handled it, and as the victim, I cannot agree,” explaining his stance.
Baek Jin-joo then taunted him, suggesting she could work with the alleged culprit, Choi Yoo-na (Cheon Hee-ju), and sneered, “You don’t seem to understand the victim’s sense of injustice at all.”
Park Tae-ho pressed her: “You could have done the interview from the start, but you only tipped us off and now you’re threatening me. What do you want?” Baek Jin-joo answered with a demand: “Fire Team Leader Choi Yoo-na. Stop the interviews, and I’ll keep quiet about whatever the chairman’s wife did.” She then struck a deal with him.
