RealFood reporter Yuk Seong-yeon reported that The Lounge at Courtyard by Marriott Pyeongtaek announced on May 12 that it will introduce an afternoon tea set called Taste of Royalty.Created by the hotel’s pastry team, the menu builds on traditional tea-time favorites while reimagining the classic British royal tea with a modern twist.
The set includes four savory bites, five desserts, scones and beverages. Savory options feature an egg sandwich, a carbonara éclair, a tomato tart and a cheese nougat.
Desserts include a green-grape parfait, an apple-mango shortcake, lemon-apple mousse, a pistachio cream choux, a honey-grapefruit jelly tart and homemade scones. Each afternoon tea order also comes with two glasses of sparkling wine.
The menu will be available from May 18 through Sept. 30. The price is 54,000 KRW for two (about $40.50).
