The Garlic Bulgogi Maximum collection expands the Garlic Bulgogi Whopper into three options based on patty count: Garlic Bulgogi Maximum 2 (two patties with sliced cheese), Garlic Bulgogi Maximum 3 (three patties with cheese and garlic chips), and the Garlic Bulgogi One-Pounder (four stacked patties).
The Maximum series, which debuted in 2023, has since included fan favorites like Quattro, Bulyangyang, Whole Shrimp, and The Ochi Maximum. The Ochi Maximum famously moved 250,000 units within two weeks of its launch last year.
Burger King is also rolling out a promotion called the “Patty Alliance Ranking.” Up to five people can form an alliance in the Burger King app, and alliances are ranked by the total number of patties purchased by their members.
To sweeten the deal, purchases of the new Garlic Bulgogi Maximum items earn double patty credits through a “double-earn” perk. Prizes will be awarded to alliances based on final rankings: a Galaxy Watch 8 or Apple Watch 11 (1st place, 1 team), Galaxy Buds 4 or AirPods 4 (2nd place, 5 teams), and Google gift cards worth 50,000 KRW (37.50 USD) (3rd place, 30 teams). In total, 186 alliances (up to 930 people) will win prizes.
The ranking contest runs from the product launch on the 12th through April 12 — about one month. Participants must be at least 19 years old.
Burger King has again tapped Choo Sung-hoon, who helped make The Ochi Maximum a hit, as the campaign model.
A Burger King representative said, “The Maximum series gives people the joy of challenging their limits, and we added a new ‘Alliance Battle’ element.”
