A person who dreamed that TV personality Yoo Jae-suk rescued them from the water has reportedly gone on to win a top lottery prize.

On the 19th, the Donghaeng Lottery website announced that a first-prize winner of the Spitto1000 No. 104 draw had bought the winning ticket at a lottery booth in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The winner, identified only as A, said he regularly buys Lotto and Spitto tickets and will receive 500 million KRW (about $375,000) in prize money.

A said, "One day I had a vivid dream in which Yoo Jae-suk pulled me out while I was drifting in dirty water. I had a good feeling, so I decided to buy a ticket."

When he checked the ticket at home, he was stunned to see the first-prize message. "I was so happy I couldn't tell whether it was a dream or reality," he said.

Immediately after winning, he called his daughter-in-law. After she scanned the QR code to confirm the win, she sincerely congratulated him.

He said his household had been going through a very difficult time recently, so the win felt like a blessing that eased his worries. He plans to use the prize money to pay off loans and support his family, and he also intends to move to a more comfortable home.

This isn't the first time someone who dreamed about Yoo Jae-suk has hit the jackpot. The first-prize winner of Spitto1000 No. 68, announced on July 6, 2023, also said their eldest child had dreamed about Yoo Jae-suk.

That previous winner said they bought tablets and laptops for the children who had the Yoo Jae-suk dream and plan to use the winnings to buy a better house.

Spitto1000 is an instant lottery where you win if a "lucky number" matches one of your six numbers. Tickets cost 1,000 KRW (about $0.75), and each draw includes 11 first-prize tickets.
