[RealFood Reporter Yook Seong-yeon] The Lounge at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul announced on the 21st that it will launch Amante del Mango, a mango-focused afternoon tea, running May 8 through Sept. 3.Inspired by Nice on France’s sun-drenched southern coast, the menu puts a fresh, modern spin on classic local desserts.
The afternoon tea set features three desserts, four savory bites, a table course, a special welcome drink, and coffee or tea. Standouts include the Orange Blossom Tropézienne — brioche layered with cream and perfumed with orange blossom — along with Mango Passion, Coco Pavlova, and an Exotic Saint-Honoré.
Savory options include a squid-ink brioche, a crab cake paired with mango salsa, and a classic egg sandwich.
The table course offers chilled ratatouille pasta alongside mango bingsu (Korean shaved ice). For the welcome drink, guests can choose between Côte Bleue or Mango & Brise Dorée.
