Starbucks debuts air-injected 'AeroCano'
1 million cups sold within a week of launch

Twosome Place recently rolled out a new lineup called Fresh Cream Coffee, which layers fresh cream onto the coffee. Inspired by the global craze for cream-top drinks, the chain reworked the idea into its own recipe. Instead of simply adding a topping, Twosome Place created a formula that balances coffee and cream—blending milk and fresh cream at an optimal ratio for a denser mouthfeel and pulling ristretto shots for a cleaner, more concentrated flavor.
The range includes Fresh Cream Americano, Fresh Cream Cafe Latte, and Fresh Cream Matcha Cafe Latte. A Twosome Place spokesperson said, "Fresh Cream Coffee is Twosome's new coffee platform that delivers the perfect balance between cream and coffee through a dedicated fresh-cream recipe and ristretto shots. As with our past launches, we've put Twosome's own spin on the trend to offer something fresh—try these three new drinks to experience our next-level coffee."

The market reacted fast. AeroCano hit 1 million cups sold within a week—setting the record for the fastest-selling iced beverage in Starbucks Korea history. During that period it was the second-best-selling drink after the Americano, reaching this milestone faster than hits like the 2021 Iced Chamomile Relaxer (11 days), the 2023 Iced Choux Cream Latte (9 days), and last year's Iced Black Glazed Latte (10 days).
This wave of new coffee offerings taps into Korea's especially strong appetite for iced coffee. The "eoljuga" culture—literally, "I'd rather freeze than skip an iced Americano"—has become ingrained, pushing brands to add fresh twists to classic drinks. In fact, over the past three years, iced versions have made up more than 70% of Americanos sold at Starbucks Korea each year.
An industry insider noted, "As customer tastes become more varied, demand for novel experiences is rising quickly. Competition will only heat up around menu items that stand out through texture and visual appeal."
