[Digital Today reporter Seok Dae-gun] KT has kicked off a suite of Family Month customer perks. On the 3rd, the company said its family benefits app, KT Family Box, will launch a three-week quiz event called "Handy Family Box" starting on the 4th. The quiz highlights long-term customer rewards as well as plan and subscription perks. Winners will be chosen by lottery to receive prizes including 10 Sofitel Ambassador Seoul hotel stay vouchers, 10 Outback dining vouchers, 10 Everland all-access tickets, and 3,000 mobile vouchers for banana-flavored milk.
In the Family Box app's "Coupon Box" section, users can pick up discounts across food, health, and household services. Promotions include a 30% Ottogi Mall coupon (up to 20,000 KRW ≈ $15.00), a 30% Pulmuone coupon (up to 8,000 KRW ≈ $6.00) plus a 10,000 KRW (≈ $7.50) first-purchase discount, a 30% Daypack coupon (up to 30,000 KRW ≈ $22.50) and a 50% Daypack Energy coupon, and bundled coupon packs for Cheongyeon home cleaning, air-conditioner cleaning, and side-dish subscription services.
Customers who take over a family member’s phone that was active on KT for at least 30 days within the past three years qualify for the "Family Phone Continuation" promotion. Eligible users will receive a 30,000 KRW (≈ $22.50) Naver Pay or Daiso mobile voucher and a monthly 2,000 MB bonus data allowance for up to one year.
KT has also rolled out offers for Y customers aged 20–34. From the 13th, the YBox app — run by KT’s youth-focused Y brand — will host the three-week "Campus Competition Season 2." Users can vote for the college festival they most want to attend, and each week 100 voters will be randomly selected to receive Starbucks mobile gift vouchers. Additionally, 25 entrants will win designated cheering-seat invitations to KT Wiz home games (two tickets per winner).
KT’s official online store, KT.com, is running a simultaneous promotion for new activations. The first 20,000 participants in the Family Month event will receive a 50,000 KRW (≈ $37.50) phone discount coupon, and customers who sign up for phone plus internet and TV together can get exclusive savings of up to 450,000 KRW (≈ $337.50). KT.com customers who activate phone, USIM, internet, or TV services will also be entered into a prize drawing for SSG gift certificates: 100,000 KRW (≈ $75.00) for 20 winners, 50,000 KRW (≈ $37.50) for 50 winners, 30,000 KRW (≈ $22.50) for 100 winners, and 3,000 KRW (≈ $2.25) for 200 winners.
