Streetwear label Mark Gonzales is turning heads — after winning over Seoul’s Hongdae scene, it’s now sparking a frenzy in Taiwan as it speeds up its global expansion.
Run by lifestyle company The Nature Holdings Co., Mark Gonzales has opened its first two Taiwan locations in Nankang and Kaohsiung’s prime shopping districts, marking a serious push into the market. The Taiwan flagship, which opened on the 20th, pulled in roughly NT$1,000,000 (approximately 44 million KRW (about $29,040)) in sales within three days, signaling strong local demand.
But the Taiwan launch is more than a routine rollout. While the brand is rooted in skater-driven street culture, it’s deliberately positioning itself as a lifestyle label, translating skate heritage into everyday pieces. Logo-forward items, checked shirts, denim and work pants reinterpret 1990s street mood for today — a clear play for Gen Z’s aesthetic.
The brand’s signature Yellow Angel motif is front and center in the Taiwan stores. Mixed with pink accents to reflect youth-driven trends, limited-edition drops have helped cement a distinct, modern street vibe among shoppers.

The Kaohsiung Hanshin Arena store — the brand’s No. 2 location — will boost visibility through a collaboration with Taiwan’s major music event, MEGAPORT FESTIVAL. Partnering with a festival that draws tens of thousands should amplify Mark Gonzales’s presence in the local scene.
A company representative said the original plan was to open three physical stores and two online platforms by year-end, but such heated local interest has led to a wave of department store offers. They now expect to add three to five more brick-and-mortar locations in the second half of the year and to expand both online and offline touchpoints across global markets beyond Korea.
Meanwhile, the Hongdae flagship in Mapo-gu, Seoul has also posted standout results: more than ₩60,000,000 (about $39,600) in sales during its first three days and over 10,000 visitors. Fans even lined up outside to snap photos with a life-size character model carrying the Yellow Angel bag.

To keep the momentum going, Mark Gonzales is running a Brand Day promotion through the 30th, offering 10% off its 2025 spring/summer new arrivals and gifting socks, angel keyrings and picnic mats to customers who meet the minimum purchase threshold.
