Medical Today reporter Yujin Choi reports that Coupang announced on the 23rd it is hosting a Sneakers Festival through the 30th, with popular-brand sneakers discounted by up to 80%.
It’s the biggest shoe sale of the year, offering some of the deepest discounts around. About 60 brands — including Puma, LECAF, adidas, Diadora, Fila and Hoka — are taking part, and roughly 800 sneaker and athletic-shoe styles are being sold at special prices.
Coupang filled the festival with on-trend, performance-focused sneakers. Standouts include the Puma SoftRide Harmony Slip-On, prized for its cushioned sole and slip-on convenience; the Mizuno Wave Ultima, engineered for shock absorption and better energy return; and the Altaika ultra-lightweight, highly breathable sneaker.
During the festival, Coupang is also running a "One-Day Deals" section that features a new discounted pick each day. On the 23rd it highlighted the Puma Teveris G; on the 24th, the Fila Taurus V3 Light; and on the 25th, the LECAF Air 365 walking shoe.
A Coupang spokesperson said, "We planned this event so customers can buy a wide range of popular-brand sneakers at more reasonable prices. It’s an opportunity to shop everything from everyday trainers to high-performance running shoes."
