His menswear label, Amofre, will stop operating after the 2025 fall/winter (FW) season when its contract with Kolon FnC expires. The Amofre shop has already been removed from Kolon FnC’s official website; clicking the Amofre mall link now returns a “page not found” message.
Launched in 2021 with Jo serving as creative director in partnership with Kolon FnC, Amofre became known as the “Jo Se-ho” brand. It drew attention largely because of Jo’s celebrity circle: stars like Big Bang leader G-Dragon, model and TV personality Hong Jin-kyung, and Joo Woo-jae were spotted showing off pieces they’d received from him.
Some observers have suggested the brand’s closure is related to the recent controversy. Kolon FnC, however, pushed back and said the decision was simply due to the contract’s expiration.
Jo also stepped down from the variety shows he was appearing on after allegations surfaced that he had connections to a gang running illegal gambling websites and that he promoted a franchise owned by a gang member.
On Instagram, Jo said that, over the years, attending many local events led him to meet a wide range of people, and he admitted he should have been more careful about his acquaintances. “I don’t think I handled things as maturely as I should have,” he wrote, adding that he will take the necessary steps to correct any false claims.
