Allbirds, the eco-conscious shoe brand, has opened a store in Busan — its first location outside the Seoul metropolitan area and a clear step beyond its Seoul-and-Gyeonggi-focused expansion. The new shop is located inside the premium resort Ananti at Busan Cove, within the select shop "Eternal Journey" in Gijang County. It’s Allbirds’ seventh store across Korea and the brand’s first outpost outside the capital region, a meaningful milestone for bringing its sustainability philosophy to life.

Known globally for using natural, low-impact materials, Allbirds found a natural fit with Ananti at Busan Cove’s sustainability values. The Busan store’s interior reuses materials from the brand’s existing locations and features minimally processed wooden furnishings to create a warm, nature-forward space.

Busan holds special meaning for Allbirds beyond expansion. When the brand first entered the Korean market in 2020, local artisans in Busan helped realize its intricate wool-weaving techniques. To honor that connection, Allbirds previously released a Busan-limited Hangul Day shoe, the Wool Piper Busan Edition.

To celebrate the new store opening, Allbirds also launched limited-edition tees and tumblers that capture the city’s character. The eco-friendly tumbler, called the Ocean Bottle, is sold alongside tees made from natural materials and is tied to a recovery program that collects 1,000 pieces of ocean-bound plastic for every bottle sold. With Busan-inspired graphics, these items are expected to appeal to both domestic and international visitors.

Allbirds is also bringing its ReRun project, which began at the Gangnam Parnas Mall store, to Busan. From March 28–30, the brand will exchange used shoes for new pairs for the first 10 customers each day. After the event, participants will receive discount vouchers based on the condition of their donated shoes, and Allbirds plans to promote resource circulation through repairs, upcycling, and recycling.

An Allbirds spokesperson said, "We're expanding our footprint alongside customers who prioritize sustainable consumption. We hope the Busan store gives more people the chance to experience Allbirds' comfort and commitment to the environment."
