The program has drawn praise for the chemistry among Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Joo Woo-jae and Heo Kyung-hwan. A steady stream of eclectic guests has helped amplify that rapport and keep viewer interest high.
Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex placed Hangout With Yoo? first in the Saturday non-drama category and fourth overall in the TV-OTT non-drama rankings for the fourth week of March, underscoring the show’s momentum. Fans reacted to Yang Sang-guk’s comeback after his sly bit in “The Heyday of Country Bumpkins: The War of Money,” and interest grew after a cameo tease from Byun Woo-seok of MBC’s new Friday–Saturday drama The 21st-Century Grand Lady.
Earlier, Korean Gallup named the show the second most popular broadcast/video program among Koreans in March 2026, drawing additional attention.
The program’s official YouTube channel is also posting strong numbers. Clips from “Comma, Club,” “A Day with AI” and the recent “Mukbae Gathering” have all surpassed 1 million views, while a highlight from “The Heyday of Country Bumpkins” peaked at 2.4 million views.
The April 4 episode heightened anticipation with a teaser for Yang Sang-guk’s Seoul visit as the Prince of Gimhae, which sparked an immediate online reaction. A running joke comparing him to Britain’s Prince Charles (now king) was expanded into a visual gag during filming, promising a lot of laughs.
Yoo Jae-suk and Joo Woo-jae appear as the prince’s attendants, while Haha and Heo Kyung-hwan are outfitted as “royal dogs.” The idea came from a quip by Joo Woo-jae that the short-statured Haha and Heo looked like people walking puppies when they walked side by side — a joke the show turned into a full bit. Yang Sang-guk, fully committed to his prince persona and greeting people with solemnity, is expected to steal the scene.
Viewers can catch Yang Sang-guk’s Prince of Gimhae Seoul visit and the episode’s big laughs on the broadcast.
