[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Singer Tae Jin-ah congratulated Seong-ri on his victory on MBN's 'Unknown Legend.'

On May 14, Tae Jin-ah posted a photo on his social media capturing the moment Seong-ri was announced the winner on MBN's 'Unknown Legend,' along with the message, "Congratulations on winning 'Unknown Legend,' Seong-ri."

On the May 13 broadcast of MBN's 'Unknown Legend,' during the second final round's "Lifetime Classics" mission, Seong-ri selected Shin Yu's "Aega." With a delicate vocal delivery, he secured the win by a commanding margin.

"I'm grateful," Seong-ri said. "Since I started dreaming of becoming a singer, I've faced more setbacks than I expected. After trying countless auditions and realizing how tough it was, I even learned a new trade hanging wallpaper and almost gave up on my dream. I'm amazed and thankful that not giving up led to this shining day."

Attention also turned to the bond between Seong-ri and Tae Jin-ah. Tae Jin-ah has supported Seong-ri since his debut and watched him hold onto his dream despite a difficult family background, ultimately seeing him emerge from a long period of obscurity by winning 'Unknown Legend.'

Reportedly, Tae Jin-ah offered steady encouragement while Seong-ri competed on the program — through phone calls, text messages and mobile messenger apps. In response, Seong-ri performed Tae Jin-ah's "Aein" on the semifinal stage that determined the 'Unknown Legend' Top 10, a performance that helped secure his place in the finals.
