On the 30th, KBS Joy's Ask Anything featured a caller who said she is battling breast cancer following a divorce.

The caller told producers she was diagnosed after divorcing an ex-husband who had assaulted and cheated on her. She said she has three children, and that when she divorced in 2021 her eldest was already an adult.

Host Seo Jang-hoon asked, "Excuse me—if your oldest was already an adult, does that mean you became a mother while in high school?" The caller responded that she had her first child at 20. She added that while she wants to care for her children after the divorce, she is struggling financially and doesn't know what to do.

The caller said she met her ex through a friend when she was a high school senior and moved into his family home. When the hosts learned she had stopped attending school, they expressed sympathy and suggested the relationship had been rushed.

She recounted that her husband once strangled and assaulted her, prompting her to run away. She returned after he accused her of abandoning the children in a field. Determined to protect her kids, she endured the abuse, but left for good after discovering he was having an affair with an acquaintance's wife and strangled her again in front of the children; the couple then divorced by mutual agreement.

She receives 500,000 KRW (approximately $375) in child support. She said her monthly income—combining basic welfare benefits, child support and a cancer insurance payout—runs approximately 1,800,000–2,000,000 KRW (approximately $1,350–$1,500). Her youngest, a competitive badminton player, costs nearly 1,000,000 KRW (about $750) a month. When the hosts suggested that the adult eldest and second children might help, she replied that since they are adults they should be saving—she does not want to ask them for money.

At that moment, Lee Soo-geun excused himself briefly and returned carrying a badminton racket. "I think this was meant to happen," he said, gifting her a racket he had received from former national team player Yoo Yeon-seong.
