Rising band SOSOYON took the stage at the Seoul Hero Rock Festival on April 25 at the Oil Tank Culture Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The group, which made its debut at the 2025 Gyeonggi Indie Music Festival, formed less than a year ago.
The two-day Seoul Hero Rock Festival was co-hosted by Queen Entertainment and Ribondius. Organizers reported roughly 30,000 attendees over the course of the event.
On stage, SOSOYON delivered a hard-rock sound and an energetic performance, playing originals like "Siren," "Jump," and "Wake Up," and closing with a cover of a song by Rage Against the Machine.
Afterward, social media and online communities reacted to the band’s stage design and performance. Critics and fans alike have noted that SOSOYON is widening its audience by appearing on festival bills so early in its career.
Among their credits, SOSOYON took fourth place in a BTV (Beijing Television) audition, earned a rookie award at the 2025 Dongducheon Rock Festival, performed at the Dubai Expo K-Pop Concert, and appeared at the 2025 Gyeonggi Indie Music Festival, among other domestic and international events.
SOSOYON is also scheduled to perform at the Yeonnam Ground Rock Festival on the 23rd and 24th of this month. The band is preparing a kit album for release through a U.K. distributor and plans a U.K. tour in the second half of the year.
