[MyDaily = Reporter Moon Ji-hyun] Actress Song Hye-kyo recounted an awkward moment she experienced at a local bathhouse.
She stopped by the YouTube channel "Yeojeong Jaehyung," where her candid charm was on full display. Host Jeong Jae-hyung noted there’s surprisingly little archival material on Song, and she replied that, apart from project promotions, there aren’t many interview videos of her.
Asked why she agreed to appear, Song said she recently felt she should, and added that as she gets older she’d appreciate continued interest from the public. She said she’s feeling more at ease these days: "I’ve had difficult times and happy ones, both as a woman and as an actress, so I feel like I’ve learned a lot from life."
On the sitcom "Soonpung Obstetrics and Gynecology," she recalled auditioning three or four times before landing the role. The director preferred the scene’s tone to be intact, even if lines were flubbed. "I was in high school then, so I could memorize a script after reading it once. Now I forget things as soon as I turn my back," she joked.
Discussing the drama "Autumn in My Heart," Song said that coming from a sitcom background made some people skeptical. "When I first took 'Autumn in My Heart,' many people opposed it. At 20, everyone was saying negative things, so I thought, 'I’ll show them. I’ll make this work,'" she recalled.
She added that location shoots were often grueling under director Yoon Seok-ho, who pulled many all-nighters. "We once filmed three days straight without time to clean up. There was a three-shot with Won Bin, Song Seung-heon, and me, and the director finally said, 'Go wash up.' We wondered why he suddenly told us to, but after three days of the same makeup and no baths, we looked so grimy even on the monitor," she said, drawing laughter on set.

She also recalled sitting in the warm water at a neighborhood bath when an older woman slapped her back and shouted, "Eun-seo, you can't die." Even though everyone was naked, people who didn’t know her suddenly recognized her. "I remember scrambling to wash and get out quickly," she said.
