[Sports Seoul | Reporter Park Jin-eop] Kim Won-hoon, the star of YouTube channel 'Shortbox,' expressed heartfelt thanks to subscribers after wrapping up the channel’s hit segment "Long-Term Relationship."
On April 2, Kim posted on his social media reflecting on the finale. "Long-Term Relationship" emerged as Shortbox’s breakout series, with Kim and Um Ji-yoon playing a couple married for 15 years and earning praise for its authentic depiction of modern relationships.
In the photos he shared, Kim smiles in a sharp tuxedo. He posted several standout images, including the wedding scene with Um Ji-yoon from the final episode and a commemorative shot with co-star Jo Jin-se. The series closed its long run with a surprising twist: the couple divorced immediately after the wedding.
Kim wrote that "'Long-Term Relationship' is the content that made Shortbox — and the three of us — possible. I wanted to close it in the most meaningful way with our subscribers."
He thanked viewers who submitted stories for the event, adding that the series "wasn’t just content; it was a collection of people’s time and emotions."
Kim also acknowledged the fellow entertainers and crew who helped stage the wedding. He singled out his wife, saying, "I'm truly grateful to my wife for supporting and celebrating this event more than anyone," and cheered on his on-screen partner, telling Um Ji-yoon, "Ji-yoon, you worked so hard!"
