The pop-up for virtual idol group PLAVE at The Hyundai Seoul is drawing significant attention.

This year’s installation expands on last year’s Epic Seoul space of about 220 pyeong (roughly 7,828 sq ft) and now also includes Sounds Forest, roughly 1,000 pyeong (about 35,583 sq ft). Together, the two venues occupy the entire fifth floor of The Hyundai Seoul. Photo zones and exhibits throughout the space echo the album’s concept and give visitors a new kind of experience.

Sounds Forest is considered The Hyundai Seoul’s flagship premium space, where top artists such as aespa, SEVENTEEN, G-Dragon and ZEROBASEONE have staged pop-ups and exhibitions. At this event, a looping PLAVE video played beside a giant comic-book prop, and a large balloon sculpture for Caligo Pt.2 drew a lot of attention. The appearance of PLAVE’s companion pixel mascot, Mmememimu, added to the scene.

For the first time in PLAVE's promotional cycle, the pop-up includes VR experiences and interactive game content, which have driven strong fan participation. The headsets used for the games feature twin-tail hair shapes, a design inspired by drawings the PLAVE members created with fans in mind. A visitor, Han Jeong-won (29), said, “I’ve listened to PLAVE’s songs often, but I didn’t realize how popular they were. Seeing it in person makes them feel much more approachable.”

The PLAVE members also visited the pop-up in person and left doodles for fans. Blast said the members lingered in front of a message wall filled with fan notes and were impressed by the scale of the giant comic-book installation in Sounds Forest.

An IPX team lead at Blast said, “We focused on creating a space that brings out the concept and mood of the mini album Caligo Pt.2. At the same time, we made sure to include plenty of content fans can enjoy.” The pop-up runs through the 19th.

Meanwhile, as of midnight on the 14th, PLAVE placed every track from their mini album on Korea’s Melon TOP100 chart, including the title track “Born Savage,” marking a successful comeback.

“Born Savage” rose to No. 2 on the TOP100 chart. “Geureon Geot Gata” reached No. 3, “Parade of Flowers” hit No. 4, “Lunar Hearts” placed No. 6, and “Heung Heung Heung (feat. SOLE)” landed at No. 8, underscoring PLAVE’s strong popularity.

PLAVE’s mini album Caligo Pt.2 continues the story begun on Caligo Pt.1, released in February last year. The band’s high-production, Marvel movie–style music video has drawn attention, and the members continue to connect with fans through radio appearances and YouTube content.
