[TV Daily reporter Han Seo-yul] On MBC's "Omniscient Interfering View," actor Lee Elia opened up about being scouted on the street. The April 4 episode paired "K-Animal Dad" Lee Gang-tae with Lee Elia, and the two discussed a range of topics. That evening, Lee explained why she decided to try her hand at trot music. She said she began classical vocal lessons in third grade and continued through high school, but later developed vocal cord nodules. "I decided to try again through 'Miss Trot 4,'" she said, adding that her mother is a big trot fan and encouraged her to appear on the show. Lee — who once dreamed of becoming a singer — also revealed she received idol offers early on. "When I was young, talent scouts often approached me on the street. I even received a business card from SM Entertainment and met with producer Bang Si-hyuk in person," she recalled. Still, Lee said family expectations delayed her debut. "My parents insisted I go to college first. Once I stepped away, it became harder to return," she admitted.
