On the afternoon of the 10th, MBC’s variety series I Live Alone turned its camera to Kim Shin-young, an all-around comedian who has lived alone for 14 years.
Viewers toured her home, which is packed with cherished items ranging from denim to footwear. A small workshop tucked into a corner of the living room attracted particular attention.
Kim revealed the shoes she handcrafted and surprised the cast when she said she has received 7 registered custom-design certificates. She described herself as driven to create — always making something new, coming up with ideas and meeting people to make them laugh — and noted she has been customizing shoes for 4 years.
She also showcased her practical talents, deftly shortening a pair of pajamas using a sewing machine.
Meanwhile, I Live Alone reflects the rise of single-person households by chronicling the daily lives of celebrities who live alone in an observational, documentary-style format. The show airs every Friday at 11:10 p.m.
