[Sports Today reporter Song O-jung] Singer Kim Sejeong has opened up about leaving the agency she’s been with for 10 years.

On the 24th, Kim announced on her social media that she will be departing Jellyfish Entertainment, the company that has supported her since her trainee days — a relationship spanning 12 years.

She posted a lengthy message reflecting on the farewell. Recalling IOI, Gugudan, numerous acting projects and her solo career, she wrote that everything she learned and built at Jellyfish helped shape who she is today.

Kim admitted that saying she’s leaving feels heavy and doesn’t come easily, but she added, “I want to sincerely thank everyone who has been with me during this time.”

Announcing a fresh start, she said she will trust the lessons and time she has invested and take things one step at a time. “It’s a little unfamiliar and a little frightening,” she wrote, “but I will move forward, trusting what I’ve learned and built,” and asked for continued support.

Following her departure from Jellyfish, Kim Sejeong has signed with BH Entertainment.

Hello, this is Kim Sejeong.

For 12 years — from my start as a trainee to who I am today — Jellyfish has stood by me, and I am leaving the agency.

Looking back, so many days come to mind.
IOI, Gugudan, countless projects, solo work — I spent all those moments with Jellyfish, and what I learned and built there shaped who I am today.

Maybe that’s why saying I’m leaving feels so heavy in my heart and doesn’t come easily.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has been with me during that time.
Those moments are not just my past; they will be the deepest roots that carry me forward.

Now I stand on a new path.
It’s a little unfamiliar and a little scary, but I will trust the heart and time I’ve invested and take one step at a time.

I hope you will watch over my future warmly, just as you have up to now.

Thank you.
