By Choi Sin-ae, SPOTV News — Jung Jin-woon abruptly withdrew from the musical "Yumi's Cells" shortly after the cast was announced.

On April 16, producer Sam Company posted on its official account that actor Jung Jin-woon, who had been cast as cell 109, will not be part of this run due to scheduling conflicts.

The company said it will name additional cast members later and aims to deliver a more polished production. The announcement comes roughly 10 days after a star-studded lineup was revealed on April 3, a change that has disappointed fans.

The musical had already secured Tiffany Young and Kim Ye-won, raising expectations. Jung Jin-woon had been slated to play a mysterious new character, cell 109—a role not found in the original work—and to share the stage with VIXX's Jung Taek-woon (Leo). He ultimately bowed out because of scheduling conflicts.
