[SPOTV News=Kang Hyojin] Amid swirling reports that a staff member affiliated with actress Jang Nara’s agency had been found dead, Jang personally visited the wake to pay her respects.
SPOTV News reported on the 10th that Jang spent the previous day at the wake, honoring the deceased and offering comfort to the family.
The employee, identified only as A, died suddenly. When the news circulated under headlines referencing a “death of a person affiliated with Jang Nara’s agency,” both the family and Jang were reportedly stunned. Sources say Jang opted to grieve quietly, putting mourning ahead of publicity.
Entertainment outlets say A, who worked for Jang’s agency, was found dead on the afternoon of the 9th. Earlier reports that A had once served as an executive were inaccurate.
Some quarters speculated about a possible link, suggesting the agency was involved in an investment dispute with singer‑songwriter Kim Joo‑hoon, who has performed under the moniker “Remember.” Those allegations have not been verified.
Subsequent reporting noted that Jang left her former agency, Lael BNC, in August of last year and is currently active under a different company. Media coverage emphasized there is no confirmed connection between A’s death and Jang, her current or former agencies, or any investment disputes, and that mourning should come first.
Jang is slated to appear in SBS’s drama Good Partner 2 later this year. Last year she joined the cast of the tvN variety series House on Wheels Across the Sea and made a memorable special appearance on SBS’s Taxi Driver 3.
