J.Y. Park Resigns from JYP Entertainment: What’s Next for K-Pop’s Icon?

[TV Daily reporter Kim Han-gil] Park Jin-young (J.Y. Park) is stepping down from his role as an executive director at JYP Entertainment.

On March 10, JYP Entertainment announced that Park will not seek reappointment as an executive director at the shareholders' meeting scheduled for March 26.

He plans to focus on his creative work as an artist, mentor younger acts, and take on new external roles that support the K-pop industry.

Since his 1994 debut, Park has been active as a singer, songwriter and producer, and he continues to lead and participate in a range of initiatives across the K-pop sector.
