[CBC News] Hwang Young-woong has topped 50,000 votes in the male singer category of April's Netizen Awards and is closing in on a new milestone.
As of 6:34 p.m. on the 23rd, Hwang led with 52,340 votes, accounting for 43.0% of the total. Buoyed by steady fan support, he has cleared the 50,000 mark and is now within reach of 60,000 votes.
In second place was Chun-gil with 10,802 votes (8.9%), followed closely by Son Tae-jin in third with 10,006 votes (8.2%). Jang Min-ho held fourth with 9,512 votes (7.8%), and Jinwon was fifth with 6,053 votes (5.0%).
The middle ranks remain tightly contested: Enoch registered 5,413 votes (4.5%), Jeong Dong-won 4,106 (3.4%), Song Min-jun 4,051 (3.3%), Park Ji-hyun 3,953 (3.3%), and Park Chang-geun 3,417 (2.8%). Seo Young-taek, Hong Isaac, Ahn Sung-hoon, Young Tak and Kang Hyung-ho follow, reflecting ongoing fan engagement.
With voting continuing through the end of the month, attention is focused on whether Hwang can convert his current lead into a 60,000-vote total by the final tally.
