By Minji Kim, Herald Muse BLACKPINK joined Hollywood stars in the Met Gala’s unofficial “bathroom selfie” tradition.On May 5, model Babita Mandava posted a mirror selfie from the Met Gala to her social media with the caption, “Felt cute, might delete later.”
In the photo, Mandava smiles in the center. Rosé pulls a fierce expression beside her, while Jisoo and Lisa also draw the eye. Jennie posed next to actress Rachel Sennott, projecting a striking presence.
The Met Gala, which began in 1948, is held each year on the first Monday in May. It’s a global fashion event and charity fundraiser that attracts a host of celebrities.
Although phone use is officially banned at the event, bathroom selfies have become an unofficial Met Gala ritual.
This year’s Met Gala, themed “Costume Art,” was held on May 4 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Anna Wintour led the evening, joined as co-hosts by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams.
BLACKPINK attended as a full group, drawing attention with outfits that highlighted each member’s individual style.
